Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, and in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JOTC, Mr. Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, JOTC organized a "Tree Planting Day" celebration at the facilities of Amman Strategic Terminal for Petroleum Products at Al-Madoneh on April 20, 2024, under the slogan "Preserving the Environment is an Integral Part of Our Approach." In coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, 300 forest trees and suitable fruit trees were planted, tailored to the nature of the challenging region.

Every year, Jordan celebrates Tree Planting Day as a national day to plant trees and engage in various activities that contribute to preserving and protecting vegetation from negative practices such as overgrazing, burning, logging, environmental pollution, and others. At JOTC, we believe in local participation in preserving the environment, especially in Amman, which suffers from emissions from factories and vehicles leading to significant air pollution, affecting the health of citizens, animals, and environmental life. This is in support of social responsibility and achieving one of JOTC's strategic goals of environmental protection, enhancing social responsibility, and citizenship.

Furthermore, the General Manager, Engineer Hasan Alheyari, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, which is a collective responsibility for everyone, individuals, governmental, and private institutions. JOTC is committed to implementing initiatives and events that promote awareness of the importance of environmental conservation, enhance social responsibility, and support sustainability efforts. The Tree Planting Day celebration reaffirms the importance of preserving the environment and protecting our natural resources.
