Eng. Alabed Allan, Natural Gas Department Manager.

Eng. Alabed Allan serves as the Manager of the Natural Gas Department under the commercial Directorate at JOTC since June 2024, where he plays a crucial role in executing governmental assignments to JOTC, related to the delivery of natural gas to consumers across Jordan, including industrial estates, commercial sectors, and residential areas. As a cornerstone of JOTC's natural gas activities, Eng. Allan actively participates in strategic planning and collaborates with decision-makers to develop frameworks, roadmaps, and action plans. Additionally, he oversees the management of department contracts, ensuring efficiency across all phases of the contract lifecycle.

Prior to joining JOTC, Allan accumulated over 10 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas sector at National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), the kingdom's primary consumer of natural gas for electricity generation. His expertise spans all kinds of natural gas industry contracts including commercial natural gas sale and purchase contracts, and BIMCO vessels chartering contracts. During his tenure at NEPCO, Allan successfully supported and developed high-value strategic contracts, significantly enhancing the security of natural gas supply to Jordan from international markets.

Notably, as the LNG Section Head in NEPCO, he conceptualized the Sheikh Sabah LNG terminal development project in Aqaba (onshore regasification unit project(, a project valued at over $100 million, currently being implemented as a cost-effective alternative to the previous FSRU-based LNG terminal participating in enhancing Jordan energy security.

Eng. Alabed Allan holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology and has completed numerous specialized courses in management and the oil and gas sector, in addition to his contributions at international forums. His academic background and continuous professional development reflect his commitment to excellence and leadership in the industry.
