H.E Eng. Ashraf Al Rawashdeh, Managing Director

The Board of Directors of the Jordan Oil Terminals Company (JOTC) has decided to appoint Eng. Ashraf Al-Rawashdeh as the Managing Director of the company. JOTC is a private shareholding company, wholly owned by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan offering an integrated set of oil storage and logistics services across Jordan. It is the first independent storage provider operating under the Open Access System, offering world-class storage, handling, and transportation services for petroleum products to local and regional clients in the oil and gas sector.  JOTC has become well-known in the oil and gas industry in the region and is the preferred storage provider for major Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Distribution Companies in Jordan, who consider JOTC facilities part of their infrastructure.

Eng. Ashraf Al-Rawashdeh holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Anbar in Iraq, and has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He began his professional career in the private sector for five years before joining the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2001. He served at the Ministry for 17 years, during which he held various positions, culminating in his role as Oil Director.

He also previously worked at JOTC as Director of the Technical Department and Deputy General Manager from 2018 to 2022. Subsequently, he joined the USAID-funded Energy Sector Support Program implemented by the American firm Deloitte from 2022 to 2024.

Additionally, Eng. Al-Rawashdeh served as a member of the Board of Directors of JOTC and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Petroleum Company. He played an instrumental role in the establishment of JOTC, overseeing the development of the Aqaba Oil Terminal and Amman Strategic Terminals Project during his tenure at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and JOTC. He also contributed to the development of several energy infrastructure projects.
