Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Jr. Accountant is responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant in daily booking, bank reconciliation and follow up with debtors & creditors, communicating with third parties concerning accounting issues, facilitate completion of payments in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Jr. Accountant is responsible for conducting the following tasks:

Oversee daily cash positioning activities, including follow up on daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation, and bank reporting.
Ensure all cash and bank transactions are booked weekly.
Follow up on bank accounts.
Updating documentation with related financial institutions.
Assessing monthly bank fees based on account analysis provided by the banks.
Ensure all transaction related to petty cash are accurately and carried out on time.
Follow up and maintain relationships with both External and Internal contacts.
Support Finance team in specific tasks when needed.
Archive all supporting and financial documents.
Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned.
Follow up on all matters relating to work to achieve the best performance possible

QUALIFICATIONS

CONDITIONS

Bachelor’s degree in finance / Accounting or a related field (advanced certificate is a plus).
0-1 years of experience in accounting.

Preferably Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
Excellent computer skills– MSOffice, Office 365, experience with or understands the functionality of an ERP system
