JOB SUMMARY

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing activity plans for projects & operations and monitoring plans on an ongoing basis to ensure activity schedules and project plans are being adhered to.

JOB DESCRIPTION / Main Tasks & Duties

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Planning Engineer is responsible for conducting the following tasks:

  • Preventive maintenance planning and recording for Mechanical, Electrical & instrumentation departments.
  • Follow up with maintenance staff to start/complete preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow up with the purchase team to request any maintenance related to orders.
  • Record daily activities, Maintenance orders, trouble memos, MOM’s & WCR’s.
  • Prepare monthly maintenance reports.
  • Prepare MEMO’s related to the maintenance department and follow up with procurement team.
  • Prepare final technical and financial report for maintenance orders.
  • Inspect/Receive spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables from supplier and keep it in store
  • Control st Support electrical maintenance team if required.
  • Collect data necessary to compile long and short-term activity plans.
  • Identify /highlight planning clashes or interfaces and work with the team to resolve issues.
  • Ensure plans are updated/issued on a regular basis.
  • Analyzing and summarizing activities and produces reports on progress.
  • Report any breaches of safety procedures to management.
  • Follow up on all matters relating to work to achieve the best performance possible.
  • Follow up on all matters related to his job to achieve the best performance.
  • Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil & gas industry or similar industry (refining, or terminal experience is preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as well as negotiation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills– MSOffice, Office 365, understands the functionality of an ERP system
