JOB SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the HSSE Supervisor/Manager with the implementation of various Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality management programs and practically endorsing HSSE standards on site and physically carrying out the necessary safety checks.

JOB DESCRIPTION / Main Tasks & Duties

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Site Sr. HSSE Officer is responsible for conducting the following tasks: 

  • Lead HSSE officers and HSSE specialists
  • Emphasize the correct implementation of the HSSE management system on the terminal.
  •  Conduct daily walk-throughs to identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend necessary corrective measures.
  • Participate in the HSSE management system review and upgrade.
  • Monitor and follow-up the work permit system.
  • Perform and evaluate the task risk assessment.
  • Employee training on various HSSE subjects.
  • Monitor the HSSE issues associated with terminal projects and verify adherence to regulations.
  • Verify that the terminal staff is adhering to PPE and additional safety guidelines.
  • conduct safety toolbox talks to raise staff awareness.
  • Participate in the accident investigation process and implement the necessary corrective measures.
  • Preparing the necessary PPE and firefighting gear well in advance.
  • Participate in the emergency drill or exercise.
  • Keep track of all security-related issues in the terminal and report any non-compliance to the HSSE manager and or supervisor.
  • Follow-up periodic medical examination for staff as required.
  • Keep track of all matters pertaining to the site clinic.
  • Keep track of all matters pertaining to the fire truck and civil defense team on terminal
  • Monitor and record unsafe acts and conditions, as well as near-miss and tracking systems.
  • Participate in the monthly HSSE meeting.
  • Correct documentation of the HSSE document
  • Any additional reasonable tasks that are requested.
  • Any additional reasonable tasks that might be delegated.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Certified HSE from (Jordanian Ministry of Labor)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent computer skills– MSOffice, Office 365, understands the functionality of an ERP system.
